Today, after work I though it would be nice to get some drinks. Trying to dodge the queues, I thought I’d use the self checkouts (I know NOW..). Obviously the machine tells me I will need approval. Kinda strange that a machine is more vigilant than the humans plying teenagers with Smirnoff Ice.

So, along waddles a woman who proceeds to examine my face for any signs of youth.

How old are ya’?” She clucks.

“I’m 26″ I reply.

“Got any I.D.?” Gobs ‘Lady Goose’.

“Not on me, sorry. I don’t drive and don’t tend to carry my passport (expired) on me. I have an armful of tattoos though, if that helps?”. I respond. Also sporting a clearly unshaven face.

“I’ll give you the benefit of the doubt this time”. She declares.

This flicked my switch. But decided to keep my mouth shut for fear of no drink and being banned from ASDA.

BENEFIT OF THE FUCKING DOUBT?!?! For what you bloated prick. I should have smashed her fucking teeth out on the till.

I really can understand why people kill each other.

So, I landed myself a job on Monday at Bose as Demonstrator Specialist I repeat, Demonstrator Specialist, not Salesman. My knowledge will be based on the product, not the averages sales figures. Which, if this is true, is amazing. I really like the idea of a store that cares about showing off the things it sells and caring for the customer, rather than a dollar sign on everyone’s face. I start next Monday and I’m really excited.

Actually, I’m a bit nervous too. Not for the job, more getting on with my co-workers. I’m really not good around new people and tend to blurt out random crap, or say nothing at all. The silence is never awkward with me. Anyway, I’m looking forward to working there, learning more about Bose’s speakers and the wonderful staff discount. Yum-yums.

So, my post below got me in shit it would appear. My Zen has died on me. Bollocks. Damn you Apple!! (yes, I do blame the whole corporation for the short comings of my Zen) But what now? I want to go bigger that the 60gb I had before, so… Microsoft Zune? 80gb? I hate Microsoft nearly as much as Apple, but…. well, but…. It’s 80gb!! And I could actually do with that. Really.

So the moral of the story is, nothing. I hate Apple.

Why?
I can understand Macs, they’re really better than PCs for many many things.
But it’s the fucking white headphones plugging everyone’s ears as they play NME recommended shit from their week old, yet already sporting some dents in the back, ipod. Or the spastics buying iphones, just ‘cos. And they always seem to hold them in a way similar to someone offering a cocktail sausage on a plate. This kind of ‘look at this!’ expression, while not really giving a shit too.

And if you express any kind of non-desire for their beloved tech crap, it’s not because you don’t WANT it, it’s because you HAVEN’T got one!! AARRGH!! Fuck!! OFF!!

Then I’ll begin.

So the other day, I was kicking about Brick Lane with little to do as my friend decided she wanted to look around antique clothes stores, in search of a ‘new’ pair of shoes as her ones were ‘old’. People who know how I think don’t need me to point out my obvious opinion of such an act, buying old shit to replace old…

Anyway, I chose to kill some time in Rough Trade. As I flicked through the racks, an infectious sound caught my attention.
